Understanding Billing and Expenses

Willow Tree Therapy Services is registered with most major carriers as an Out of Network (OON) practice. We will work with any insurance policy for billing that includes OON benefits, except for United Behavioral Health, and its related entities. Willow Tree Therapy Services will ‘courtesy bill’ on your behalf, and will collect out-of-pocket expenses based on your insurance coverage (i.e. deductible, etc.), relieving much of the financial stress that can come with seeking psychotherapy.

Our goal is to assist you in obtaining the help you need today. Helping you understand billing and methods of payment is part of that process. If you have any questions about the cost of services, or methods of payment, feel free to reach out and request an appointment.

DO YOU TAKE INSURANCE?

Yes, we participate as an out of network provider with any plan that carries that benefit.

DO I HAVE TO PAY FOR MY APPOINTMENTS?

If you have out-of-network benefits, we will submit a claim on your behalf and wait to be paid. You may be asked to pay any estimated copay, co-insurance, and/or deductible up front. Submitting a claim is not a guarantee of payment, however, and your final cost per session may vary, depending on your insurance carrier.

DO YOU HAVE A SLIDING SCALE?

Yes, we reserve a portion of our practice for sliding scale based on financial need. You will be asked to provide the front page of your last tax return for documentation.
